Color: Through subtle and daring association games, the Creative Studio pays tribute with this Haute Couture collection to a central aspect of Gabrielle Chanel's work. Through its radical use of black, the seamstress carried out a major aesthetic revolution. Great colorist, she worked all the colors of the spectrum, from black to white, from the softest pastels to the brightest tones.
In the centre of the nave of the Grand Palais, the parade route consisting of a double C draws the symbol of infinity. Infinite excellence of Haute Couture, of which CHANEL is today the oldest active House. Thoughtd by the scenographer-designer WilloPerron, the structure evokes the chromatic circle that the Creative Studio chose to reinterpret. In collaboration with Michel Gaubert, the original score of the parade comes back to composer Gustave Rudman.
White, pastels, bright tones, night blue and black: the progress of the collection follows a complete cycle of day and night. From the first lights of the day to the twinkles of the firmament, a chromatic scenario that starts at dawn and starts again after night. S的y succeed a pajama style set in silk crepe in the colours of the aurore, a tweed-yellow sun fit, a tweed lilac dress with hollow folds, a tweed-white and black suit painted and embroidered. Further on, a pink-orange coat on a purple jacquard dress and a mimosa dress tailor with pale pink flounces. The flanged shoes follow the same logic. Flat or heeled, their color range goes through the sky blue, parma, white or cream.
Tweeds, pockets, stripes, linings assorted to the blouse – it itself sometimes attached to the skirt for a remarkable fall – or even precious buttons: CHANEL's look markers are sublimated here. In a game of chromatic shocks and contrasts of great gaiety, the linings are in satin mordoré, pink, green, yellow, king blue or purple; stripes, graphs, multicolored or embroidered with small flowers. Rock crystal, metal and rhinestone buttons are transformed into moon, sun, camellia flowers. Lunar and solar stars found on black velvet belts, reminder of the importance of black for the House.
The short and long turns, the dresses are also both at a time. The delicateness of their fabric allows virtuoso games of proportions. Aerials and embroidered, flying, pleated, they express all the technique and refinement of Haute Couture. Dusty dress of stars, embroidered red dress in muslin, plastron shirt pleated pale yellow in double satin, long cape sky blue puffing, glittery white dress with coat in tweed champagne, the collection takes in places the tunes of tale. By a work of material all in lightness and a subtle game of trompe-l'oeil, painted laces and embroidered muslins enhanced with color halos give the perfect illusion of tweed. A dreamlike and theatrical imagination to which the Haute Couture gives body and form.
Manifesto of the beautiful and discipline of excellence, CHANEL's Haute Couture – which celebrates its 110 years of existence this year – offers the studio an unlimited creative space. With intense precision and great freedom, the Haute Couture Printemps-Summer 2025 collection conveys values and explores the house's codes. « Comfort has shapes. Love has colors »* summarized Gabrielle Chanel.
