Jonathan Anderson leaves Loewe

Jonathan Anderson leaves the creative direction of the Spanish brand Loewe of LVMH after 11 years of reign which were considered a period of transformation for the house.

No confirmation was given of its next destination, even though rumours suggest Dior. The praises he received from LVMH, owner of Loewe, and the fact that his iconic brand is also supported by the French luxury giant suggest that this could be true.

Like Demna's recent appointment, which saw him move from Balenciaga (Kering) to Gucci, it is clear that luxury giants want to retain the talents that have had a considerable impact on small brands when jobs are freed in the larger ones.

There is no officially vacant position in the Dior Women's Directorate, but the position of male director is to be filled after Kim Jones' recent departure. Neither Anderson nor LVMH commented on these rumors. Case to follow..
