Tribute to the House's iconic canning, the My Dior collection enriches with new pieces, embodying the passionate inventiveness of Victoire de Castellane.
The artistic director of Dior Jewellery made the canning her mesh, My Dior celebrating one of the historical codes of 30 Montaigne Avenue, the cradle of the House.
In this « kingdom of dreams », she discovers, as a child, the precious motif with architectural lines that adorns, from 1947, the Napoleon III chairs – welcoming, in the haute couture salons, the guests of Christian Dior's parades. An eternal emblem, this signature graphic becomes, season after season, one of the symbols of Dior elegance.
It inspires Victoire de Castellane, who then imagines an infinitely delicate braided gold motif for his collection-commitment called My Dior. Reflecting the spirit of Parisian fashion, the singular and complex construction of these creations reflects both the audacity of the Artistic Director and the virtuosity of the artisans of the House. The different elements of the models are affixed and assembled one by one, following careful steps by hand.
Among these know-how of high precision and ingenuity, a polished gold ribbon slips, like a mirror, under the mesh of canning to offer a powerful encounter between materials. Yellow gold and white gold dialogue, in turn, with diamonds or turquoise lacquer; a new expression of this exceptional technique.
In addition to this vibrant colour, the My Dior collection today unveils eleven pieces with a wonderful aesthetic, some of which are distinguished by original wear. The canning's graphics come to life on a diamond-paved choker, a double ring – surrounding two phalanges – a sculptural cuff, a plurality of bracelets, and a single earrings – in yellow gold and white gold.
An ode to the creativity and unique craftsmanship of Dior, from enchantment to excellence.
