Loewe, the luxury Spanish house known for its exceptional craftsmanship and bold creativity, chose to celebrate the New Year Chinese year by associating with one of the last living masters of the Chinese partition, Xiong Songtao.

By launching an exclusive capsule dedicated to the Year of the Snake, Loewe once again illustrates its ability to combine ancestral traditions with contemporary design.

The partition, an elaborate technique dating from the Yuan dynasty, relies on the manipulation of metal wires to create delicate motifs filled with coloured enamels. Xiong Songtao, born of a line of master emvers dating back to the Qing dynasty, imposes himself as one of the guardians of this endangered art.

Renowned for his precision and creativity, he designed limited edition pendants for Loewe, representing good symbols, including snake, monkey and cloud. These pendants, real works of art, are only a part of the collection.

Loewe has also integrated partition-inspired motifs into its iconic pieces: Puzzle bags and Pebble Bucket, accessories, as well as a cloud-shaped pouch of good augurs and a coiled snake.
