Loro Piana , an Italian luxury house, is about to mark its centenary in 2024 with an exceptional exhibition at the Pudong Art Museum in Shanghai, an emblematic place designed by the Jean Nouvel Workshops.

Scheduled from March 22 to May 5, 2025, this retrospective will be the first collaboration between a luxury home and this museum inaugurated in 2021.

Under Judith Clark's precinct, the exhibition promises an immersive experience of family history, artisanal heritage and Loro Piana's flagship collaborations. Visual archives, works of art and iconic creations highlight the unique know-how and universe of exceptional fibres, such as cashmere, at the heart of the brand's identity.

China, a key market for Loro Piana through its historic partnerships with cashmere farmers, is also part of a long-standing strategy to enhance relationships. This approach is accompanied by exclusive projects, including the recent publication of « Master of Fibers » , a book written by Nicholas Foulkes.

This art book, sold 1,200 euros, illustrates the history and rare materials that have shaped Loro Piana.

The centennial celebrations also continue through prestigious initiatives, such as « The Wonders Workshop » , an end-of-year installation at Harrods, or a tribute to the architect Cini Boeri presented at the Milanese seat of the brand.

This exhibition in Shanghai promises to be a highlight, reflecting Loro Piana's continued commitment to celebrating her legacy while captivating new audiences on the international stage.
